How to Spray with the Paint Zoom Properly

by Richard

For anyone that has never used a spray gun before, you might find it a bit complicated to get the area you need to paint looking just right. Most people are unaware that there are very specific things you need to do in order to make your paint job look professional.

One of those things is by adjusting the air flow through the Paint Zoom. There is a regulator on the back of the spray gun that you can turn in and out to adjust the air flow so that you have the right consistency in your spraying.

In order to make sure you are spraying correctly, you should do a couple of practice runs on something that you don’t mind getting paint on. Hold the Paint Zoom around 8 to 12 inches from the surface and make sure your wrist is straight.

You will want to start your pass and then pull the trigger on the spray gun. Move in a smooth and parallel motion to the surface, and release the spray trigger before you stop your pass. You should have a light first coat that you let dry before putting on a thicker second coat.

If you take your time and practice a bit before you start painting, then you shouldn’t have any problems. You will soon find that the Paint Zoom can shorten the amount of time it takes to paint a room, or anything else for that matter, and look like a professional team of painters did the work. If you jump right in and start painting, you will find that your walls are covered with drips and streaks that you will find very difficult to fix after they dry. This is why you don’t just throw the Paint Zoom together and start painting without any practice beforehand.

You will need to have some patience when you first start out, but once you get the hang of it, then you will be rocking like a pro in no time at all. Once you give the Paint Zoom a shot, you will find that you will never want to use a brush and roller again to do your house hold painting.
